| claim | a statement about what we believe |
| compelling questions | the big question that guides inquiry |
| credible | information and sources that can be trusted |
| evidence | information gathered from sources to answer inquiry questions |
| inquiry | a way to investigate a problem and or ask for more information |
| passionate | being very interested in something |
| supporting question | questions that look at a smaller part of a compelling question |
| close reading | thinking about what you are reading |
| context | identifies the things that influence what is in the source and ow it is presented |
| corroboration | to support with evidence |
| credible | information and sources that are trusted |
| evaluate | to determine which information is most useful to you |
| evidence | information gathered from sources to answer inquiry questions |
| thesis | a statement that describes what you are trying to prove |
