Objetivos del EMPA Detectar precozmente aquellas enfermedades prevenibles o controlables y reducir la morbilidad y mortalidad asociadas a ellas. Promover conductas saludables en población adulta dirigidas a incrementar nivel de salud y prevenir determinadas enfermedades
Cuales son las principales casus de muerte en Chile? 80% de muertes prematuras por enfermedades corazón, accidentes cerebrovasculares y diabetes tipo II 40% de los cánceres son prevenibles
Cuales son los factores de riesgo modificables? Obesidad y obesidad abdominal, tabaquismo, consumo de alcohol, inactividad física, alimentación no saludable
Cuales son las enfermedades o condiciones que busca el EMPA? Obesidad, tabaquismo, hipertensión arterial (HTA), diabetes mellitus, dislipidemia, cáncer cervicouterino, cáncer de mama, tuberculosis, bebedor problema, sífilis
Población objetivo y frecuencia de la mamografía Mujeres de 25 a 64 años, sin PAP vigente en los últimos 3 años. Cada 3 años, salvo indicación médica
Población objetivo y frecuencia del PAP A grupo de mujeres de 50 a 54 años. Es recomendable que aquella mujer de 50 a 54 años que nunca se ha hecho mamografía sea referida a matrona para evaluar riesgo e indicar mamografía en caso necesario.
