Mics when use them

TermDefinition
dynamic- mic when to use want flavour/sound of a dynamic want a lo-fi sound less sensitive mic to avoid bleed
dynamic - when not to use want more detailed or wide frequency response want more hi-fi sound
condenser - when to use want lots of detail and hi-fi sound want wide frequency response (lots of lows or highs) want a modern sound
Condenser.- when not to use when sound source is overly bright or harsh when have limited mics and want to prioritise where use them
ribbon - when to use lots of detail and a vintage sound want darker and warmer sound record overly harsh or bright sounding instrument
ribbon - when not to use when at risk of being struck if be powerful blast of air if need to prioritise where to use them want more modern sound sound source overly dark and dull sounding
