Stakeholders
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Stakeholder | Individual or group that has an interest in an organization and can either affect or be affected by that organization |
| Internal stakeholder | Individuals and parties within the organization |
| External stakeholder | Do not work within a business, but are affected by its activities |
| Employee | Work for a business in return for a wage or salary |
| Board of directors | Governing body of a company, consisting of the most senior managers |
| Investors | Provide capital in return for a dividend |
| Types of internal stakeholders | Employer, shareholders, entrepreneur, BOD |
| Types of external stakeholders | Interest groups, manufacturers, trade associations |
| Trade associations | Represent businesses involved in similar types of activities |
| Stakeholder independencies | The interconnected relationships among various groups |
| Stakeholder conflict | A situation in which the interests or goals of different stakeholders in an organisation conflict with one another |
