types of bone

long bone longer than they are wider long shaft with wider ends mostly located in the limbs acts as levers to aid movement
Short bones more cube shaped provides support and stability with little movement
special short bones sesame bone+ shaped like sesame seed, embedded w tendons ex. knee cap
flat bone thing and flat often have a bit of curve long surface area for attaching to muscle
Irregular bone have highly specialized shape and structure ex: hip bone and vertebrae
