What is the difference between isotonic, isoconetic, isometric? isometric is little to no movement. Isotonic is muscle contraction and repeated movement. Isoconetic is resistance moved through entire range of motion.
What are the three basic principles of fitness? Overload, progress, and specificity
Name four negative affects of sedentary lifestyle? gain weight, risk of osteoporosis, decrease self-confidence, less opportunities to socialize.
What is the difference between hypothermia and hyperthermia? Hyperthermia is being too hot. Hypothermia is being too cold.
What are three types of connective tissues? Tendons, ligaments, and cartilage.
What is dehydration? You do not have enough water in your system - or losing water.
Define metabolism. How your body processes the stuff that you consume.
Name the five elements of health related fitness. cardio respiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscle endurance, flexibility, body composition.
What happens in a concussion? you have an impact to your head causing your brain to wobble in your head and can swell. Causes attention issues, headaches, and vision issues.
What is the difference between heat exhaustion, heat stroke, and heat cramps? exhaustion =overheating in body resulting in cold clammy skin and shock; stroke = body can not release heat through sweating, cramps = muscles spams that result is losing salt and water
