Argument an attempt to persuade someone on a topic open to debate "The argument was obviously more vague on 1 side"
Author's Perspective How the author feels about the situation or topic "The author's perspective was unclear"
Claim/Thesis A statement of the author's point if view "The claim was wrote perfectly"
Counterclaim an opposing claim that disagrees with the thesis "I was on the counterclaim's side"
Credible Source A reliable resource the writer can use to cite info "The credible source was written by the government"
Formal style using a professional choice of words and tone/attitude "The author wrote in a formal style"
Reasoning The explanations of why the author feels the way he or she does "The reasoning was valid"
Bias general tendency or leaning in one direction; partial toward one view over another "The author was more bias towards their side"
Reflute To disapprove a statement or theory "The author started to reflute"
Relevant Evidence Facts, details, examples, etc. that support the writer's reasoning "The author had so much relevant evidence"
Sound/logical Complete or comprehensive. A way to describe an argument when its based on logic/common sense "The text was sound in my opinion"
Sufficient Evidence When theres enough support to make the argument convincing "The text had sufficient eveidence"
Transitions words, phrases, or clauses that help the reader see how your ideas fit together to support your topic "Theres was little to no transitions, which made it look wonky"
Fact Information that can be proven, measured, or observed "Most of the evidence were facts"
Opinion One's beliefs, thoughts, feelings, or emotions about a topic; point-of-view "The author's opinion was not clearly pointed out well"
Rebuttal Response to opponent's counterclaim "The rebuttal was so well written"
Cede Formally give up rights "The CEO cede on the business"
Enterprise Business, venture or company "The enterprise was cancelled"
Capitalistic Characteristic of an economic system that is privately owned "The country is capitalistic"
Threatening Dangerous "The cat looked threatening"
Extinct No longer existing "The dinosaurs are extinct"
Mutation A change in form, nature, or qualities "The mutaion was barely noticeable"
Prevailing The idea or feeling that is the strongest "The answer was most prevailing to me"
Distinguish to tell the difference between things, or to show what makes something or someone stand out "It was easy to distinguish right and wrong"
Corroborate to support an idea, statement, or character's point of view by giving more evidence or proof "The evidence corroborated the idea"
Condensing making something shorter or more compact by removing extra words or details, while keeping the main idea "Condensing is good because it makes it easier to understand"
Reveal to show or illustrate "It was time to reveal the odd one out"
Accurately to correctly identify something "I accurately guessed"
Consistent Done in the same way each time "The mph was consistent everyday"
Evident Clearly seen or obvious "The idea was evident"
