Threatening Dangerous - Adj. The threatening weather forced the evacuation of coastal towns.
Extinct No longer in existence - Adj. Dinosaurs are now extinct because of the "meteor attack".
Mutation Change in form, nature or qualities - Noun. The rainbow mutation on the La Grande made it rainbow, and increase it's money multiplier.
Prevailing The idea or feeling that is the strongest - Adj. What's the prevailing view on this in your country?
Distinguish To tell the difference between things - Verb. I distinguished the taco trait on the traleo tralala.
Corroborate To support a idea, statement, or a point of view - Verb There was no evidence to corroborate his story.
Condensing Making something shorter by removing extra words or phrases, but keeping the main idea - Verb. Water vapour in the air condenses into fog.
Reveal To show or illustrate - Verb. He removed his shoes to reveal a pair of bright pink socks.
Accurately To correctly identify something - Adverb. I accurately determined the math question no one could solve.
Consistent Done in the same way every time - Adj. He is their most consistent player this season.
Evident Clearly seen or obvious - Adj. It was evident on who ate my chocolate cake.
Atten -tion The act of taking notice of someone/ something the regarding of someone/ something as important. I paid close attention to see who eats my chocolate cake this time.
Friend -ly Acting in a kind, and pleasant way that shows goodwill, making others feel comfortable and at ease. I noticed a kid alone in the lunch table, so I became friendly by accompanying him.
Argument A attempt to persuade some on a open debate topic - Noun.
Author's perspective How a authors feels about a situation or topic - Noun
Claim/Thesis A statement of an author's point of view - Verb/Noun.
CounterClaim A opposing claim that disagrees with the thesis - Noun/Verb
Credible Source A reliable resource the writer can use to cite information - Adj.
Formal Style Using a professional choice of words and tone/attitude - Adj.
Reasoning The explanation of why the author feels the way she/he does - Noun.
Bais General tendency or learning in one direction; partical view - N/V/Adj/Adv
Refute To disprove a statement or theory - Verb.

Transitions Words, phrases. or clauses that help the reader see how ur ideas fit the topic - Noun
Facts Information that can be proven, measured or observed - Noun
