Sons of Liberty Seceret group of colonists founded to protest Stamp act.
Militias Civilian solders who are trained to fight but not part of the regular army.
Patriots Colonists who fought against the British rule.
Parliament The government of Great Britain includes the king, the House of Commons, the house of Lords and the Prime minister.
loyalists Colonists who reminded loyal to the King during the American Revoltion.
Redcoats Nickname for British soldiers because of their red uniforms coats.
Continental Congress The legislative assembly composed of delegates from the rebel colonies who met and after the American Revolution .
MInutemen Colonists who could be ready in a minute to fight the British.
Bosten Tea party Bosten citizens disguised as Indians raided three British ships and dumped chests of tea into the harbor as a protest against taxes on tea.
Stamp Act Tax that the British government placed on newspapers, books, and documents sold in the colonies.
Bosten Massacrer The killing of 5 men by British soldiers in March 5, 1770.
Paul Revere Rode on a horse back from Boston to Lexington and concord to warn people the redcoats were coming.
Treaty of pairs provisional peace treaty signed after Lord Cornwallis surrendered at Horse town.
