What is the most stable way to tell a central incisor from a lateral incisor? Width, because central is almost always larger.
How do the width and length compare on the crown of both maxillary and mandibular incisors? They are longer than they are wide.
What is the widest tooth in the mouth? Max Central incisors
Second widest? Max lateral incisors
How do the MI and DI angles compare on both maxillary central and lateral incisors? The MI angle is close to 90 degrees. The DI angle is greater than 90 degrees.
How does the length of the crown differ from the mesial to the distal on both maxillary lateral and central incisors? Slightly shorter crown length on distal vs. mesial.
Where are the mesial contacts for both maxillary central and lateral incisors? incisal third.
How do the distal contacts differ for maxillary lateral and central incisors? Central's distal contact point is on incisal third. Lateral's depends on shape of the crown.
