| transpiration | a release of water through plants water vapor. |
| precipation | the return of water from the atmosphere to earth surface in form of rain. |
| condensation | a change in state to a vapor to a liquid |
| aquifers | a sponge like formation of rock,sand, or gravel that holds water |
| groundwater | fresh water found below earths surface. |
| law of conservation matter | the principle that states that matter can change form |
| nutrients | matter that organisms need to carry out there life process |
| biogeochemical cycles | the circulation of nutrients through the atmospere,also called njtrient cycle |
| primary produces | an organism that can capture energy from the sun or from the chemicals and store it |
| photosynthesis | the process by which primary producers use sunlight to convert carbon dioxide into water into sugars releasing oxygen |
| consumers | an organism that relies on other organisms for energy. |
| decomposition | an organism that breaks down non-living matter into simple parts that can then be taken then reused |
| cellular respiration | the process by which organisms use oxygen to release the chemical energy of sugar. |
