reading words

TermDefinition
base words refer to individual words in the English language
root word go back to Latin and Greek languages
affix affixes are small word particles, usually only a few letters, added to a root word to change its meaning or grammatical properties
prefixes prefixes are affixes that come at the beginning of a word, before a root word. Sometimes the are added to a change its meaning such as legal and illegal
suffix suffixes are affixes that come at the end of a word, after the root word. Unlike prefixes,which mostly a changes a words meaning
Courage A way of showing strength
Genre A topic of a group of something
delusion Being crazy in the head by seeing something or somebody thats not there
Fluent Very good at speaking or doing something
