Weather vs Climate

Weather The condition of the atmosphere at a certain place and time
Climate The average weather of a place over a long period of time
Rain Gauge A tool to measure the amount of precipitation
Barometer A tool used to measure air pressure
Anemometer A tool that measures wind speed
Air mass A large body of air with about the same temperature and humidity
Warm front Brings light rain; warmer temperatures once it passes
Cold front Thunderstorms; cooler temperatures once it passes
Stationary front Many days of precipitation
Occluded front Windy and raining; Cooler and fair weather once it passes
Front Where weather events occur; Boundary where 2 different air masses meet
Hygrometer A tool that measures humidity
Thermometer A tool that measures temperature
Weather (time-frame) Minutes - hours - days
Climate (time-frame) Average over 30+ years
Sun Creates climate/weather
Tropical Region with more direct sunlight; Usually hot and humid
Temperate Region in-between direct and diffuse sunlight; Usually moderate temperatures and 4 seasons
Polar Region with diffuse sunlight (indirect sunlight); Usually very cold
