| Warm front | Brings light rain; warmer temperatures once it passes |
| Cold front | Thunderstorms; cooler temperatures once it passes |
| Stationary front | Many days of precipitation |
| Occluded front | Windy and raining; Cooler and fair weather once it passes |
| Front | Where weather events occur; Boundary where 2 different air masses meet |
