Nucleus the central core of an atom
Molecule a combination of 2 or more atoms
Compoud a substance combining 2 or more different elements
Hydrocarbon an organic compound combining hydrogen and carbon
Solution a mixture in which all the ingredients are evenly mixed
Macromolecules a large organic molecule, includes proteins, nucleic acids
Protein an organic compound made of carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen and sometimes sulfur
Nucleic Acids the macromeoecule that caries heredity information
Carbohydrates an organic compound that consists of atoms of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen
Lipids a chemically diverse compound that doesn't desolve in water
pH a measure of acidity or alkalinity of a solution
Feedback loop a circular process that describes how an event is both a cause and an effect in the same system, can be a positive feedback loop or a negative feedback loop.
Erosion the removal of soil by water, wind, ice, and gravity
Geosphere all of the rock at and below Earth's surface.
Lithosphere sphere of the earth made up of hard rock on the Earth's surface; the outermost layer of both earth and its geosphere
Biosphere the earth and all of its organisms and enviroments
Hydrosphere all of the water - salt water and fresh water, in the form of liquid, ice, or vapor - above and below Earth's surface and in the atmosphere
Atmosphere the thin layer of glasses that surround the earth
