Sagittal plane Divides into right and left sections
Axial/Transverse plane horizontal plane though the body
Dorsal Cavity Largest anatomical spaces in humans
Ventral Cavity Largest anatomical spaces in humans
Cranial Cavity contains the brain
Vertebral Cavity contains the spinal column
Thoracic Cavity Contains lungs , heart blood vessels. thymus gland etc
Pelvic Cavity contains the bladder, large intestine, rectum and reproductive organs
Abdominal Cavity Contains the stomach, gallbladder , liver ,colon , small intestine, kidneys and appendix .
