Where did the fighting take place? Took place in Europe, Asia, and North America. FIghting was over the Ohio river valley in North America

Who lead/assisted the British? George Washington and Benjamin Franklin
What are the important victories for the British? September 18th, 1759 the British captured Quebec. 1763 Treaty of Paris ended hostilities. Britain gained Canada, French land east of the Mississippi and Florida

The effect of Stamp Act The Americans responded violently. On October 17th 1765, stamp act congress sends petition to King George and Parliment he ignored it and boycotts became more effective.

When did the Boston Massacre occur and what happened ? March 5th, 1770. Crowds threw ice, snowballs, and oyster shells at the soldiers
What was the Boston tea party? In 1770, most taxes were repealed by the British (except on tea)
When was the Tea Act? 1773. It lowered the cost of tea but cut out American merchants
When did the colonists boycott British tea? December 16th, 1773. Colonists dump British tea into the Boston Harbor
Eristic more concerned with winning an argument than finding the truth
The empire strikes back. what was the intolerable act? 1774. Boston Harbor closed which meant economic ruin. Town meetings were limited to once a year unless approved by a governor. British officials in colonies would be tried for crimes. New Quartering act passed.
The clouds Gather Colonies relied on millitia to meet any emergency. Volunteers were called minutemen. British General Thomas Gage sent his “red coats” to Concord Mass, to seize their arms. Paul Revere rode through the night to warn the minutemen
