Chapter 34 – Discipline

TermDefinition
Obedience Compliance with authority or instruction. Submission to rightful commands.
Self-Government Control over one's own actions and decisions. Regulation of oneself according to principles.
Integrity The quality of being honest and morally upright. Moral soundness and purity.
Willpower The strength to make choices and follow them. Determination and resolve.
Self-Control The ability to regulate one's actions, emotions, or impulses. Command over one’s own behavior.
Correction The process of guiding one toward right behavior. Instruction given to remove errors.
Trust Confidence placed in another. Reliance on someone’s integrity and ability.
Liberty The ability to act freely within the bounds of moral law. Freedom constrained by obedience.
Correction The process of rectifying wrong behavior. Instruction given to remove faults.
Encouragement Support or reassurance given to inspire confidence. The act of giving courage and hope.
Reformation The act of improving character or behavior. Change from wrong to right conduct.
Perseverance Continued effort despite difficulties. Steady persistence in duty.
Love Deep care and concern for others. Affection and benevolence.
Duty Moral or legal obligation. That which a person is bound to perform.
