Chapter 31 – The Lifework

TermDefinition
Purpose A goal or reason for action. That which one intends to do; design.
Success Achievement of one's goals. The accomplishment of what is attempted.
Faithfulness Steadfast adherence to duty or promise. Fidelity; loyalty; reliability.
Ministry Service or work carried out in devotion to God's calling. Employment in sacred duties.
Education The process of acquiring knowledge and skills. Instruction for improvement of mind and character.
Obedience Submission to God's will. Compliance with rightful authority.
Calling One’s divine purpose or mission. A vocation or appointment from God.
Perseverance Continued effort despite difficulty. Steady persistence in duty.
Humility Modesty and freedom from arrogance. Lowliness of mind.
Service Work done to benefit others. Labor or ministry for others' good.
Missionary Effort Active work to spread the gospel. Labor to promote Christianity.
Guidance Direction or leadership in decision-making. Instruction leading to right action.
Dedication Devotion to a purpose or calling. Consecration to divine service.
Cooperation Working together toward a common goal. Joint effort for shared benefit.
Commitment A pledge or dedication to duty. A binding promise or engagement.
