Chapter 30 – Faith and Prayer

TermDefinition
Faith Complete trust or confidence in God. Belief in divine truth.
Prayer A solemn request or communication with God. The act of supplication to the Divine.
Trust Reliance on God's wisdom and goodness. Confidence in divine care.
Righteousness A life of moral uprightness according to God's will. Holiness and virtue.
Promise God's assurance of blessings and guidance. Declaration of a future benefit.
Communion Close fellowship and connection with God. Intimate interchange with the divine.
Confidence Boldness and assurance in God's power. Trust without fear or doubt.
Surrender The act of yielding completely to God's will. Submission to divine authority.
Forgiveness God's pardoning of sins and calling us to do the same. Remission of offenses.
Wisdom Understanding gained through faith and prayer. Knowledge applied in righteous living.
Divine Guidance Leadership and direction provided by God. Direction given through divine wisdom.
