| Homemaking | The management of a home. Care in making a house comfortable. |
| Manual Training | Hands-on education that teaches practical skills. Instruction in practical and physical work. |
| Proficiency | A high degree of skill or competence. Advancement in knowledge or skill. |
| Livelihood | Means of securing the necessities of life. A means of living or sustenance. |
| Agriculture | The practice of farming. The cultivation of soil for food. |
| Economy | The careful management of resources. Frugality in expenditure or use. |
| Self-Sustaining | Able to support oneself without outside aid. Maintaining oneself without assistance. |
| Steadfastness | Firmness and determination. Fixedness; constancy. |
| Craftsmanship | Skill and expertise in manual work. Mastery in a trade or art. |
| Common Sense | Sound judgment in practical matters. Ordinary good judgment. |
| Drudgery | Tedious, menial, or unpleasant work. Hard, wearisome labor. |
