How is the periodic table organized? They can be organized by their atomic number they add up from the smallest to the largest atomic number
What do subscripts tell you? It tells you how many atoms are in an elements
What is the difference between an element and a compound? The difference between them is a compound is 2 or more elements chemically combined. An element is one atom.
What do periodic tables give you? they give you groups, periods and all of the elements. And metals, metalloid and non metals
What are the 3 main characteristics you should know? Metals, nonmetals and metalloids
do groups go up and down or left and right? they go up and down vertically
do periods go up and down or left and right? they go left and right horizontally
can you break a substance into 2? No, for example gold, no matter how many times you break it apart it will still be gold
