| RNA | ribonucleic acid a natural polymer that is present in all living vells that plays a role in protein synthesis |

| product | a substance that forms in a chemical reaction |
| activation energy | the minimum amount of energy required to start a chemical reaction |

| active size | on an enzyme that site that attaches to a substance |
| substrate | the reactiant in reactions catalyzed by enzymes |
