Atom he base particle from which all elements are made; the smallest particle of an element that has the properties of that element
Nucleus the central core of an atom which contains protons and neutrons
Electron a tiny, negatively charged particle that moves around the outside of the nucleus of an atom
Proton small, positively charged particle that is found in the nucleus of an atom
Neutron small particle in the nucleus of the atom, with no electrical charge
Element – a pure substance that cannot be broken down into other substances by chemical or physical means
Electron Cloud where electrons are when they go around the nucleus of an atom
Atomic number – the number of protons in the nucleus of an atom
