| Absolute Value | The distance the number is from 0 on a number line. |
| Additive Inverse Property | The sum of any number and zero is the number |
| Additive Inverses | Two integers that are opposites. The sum of an integer and its additive inverse |
| Bar Notation | In repeating decimals, the line or bar placed over the digits that repeat |
| Distributive Property | To multiply a sum by a number, multiply each addend of the sum by the number outside the parentheses |
| Multiplicative Identity Property | The product of any number and one is the number |
| Multiplicative Inverses | Two numbers with a product of 1 |
| Multiplicative Property of Zero | The product of any number and 0 is 0 |
| Opposites | Two integers are opposites if they are represented on the number line by points that are the same distance from 0, but on opposites of 0. The sum of 2 opposites is 0. |
| Order of Operations | The rules to follow when more than one operation is used in a numerical expression |
| Rational Number | The set of numbers that can be written in the form a/b, where a and b are integers |
| Repeating Decimal | A decimal in which 1 or more digits repeat |
| Terminating Decimal | A decimal with a repeating digit of 0 |
