What does the MCL limit? abduction
What does the LCL attach to? lateral femoral condyle and head of fibula
What does the LCL limit? adduction
What three muscles are in the hamstring? semimembranosus, semitendinosus, bicep femoris
What action do the hamstrings do? knee flexion, hip extension (except SH/BF)
What nerve is attached to the hamstring? Sciatic (except SH/BF, fibular nerve)
What four muscles are in the quadriceps? Rectus femoris, Vastus medialis, Vastus intermedius, and Vastus lateralis
What nerve is attached to the quadriceps? femoral nerve
What action do the quadriceps do? knee extension (Rectus femoris, hip flexion)
Where does the Rectus femoris attach? AIIS to tibial tuberosity
Where does the vastus medialis attach to? medial lip of linea aspera to tibial tuberosity
Where does the vastus intermedius attach to? anterior femur to tibial tuberosity
Where does the vastus lateralis attach to? lateral lip of linea aspera to tibial tuberosity
Where does the semimembranosus attach to? Ischial tuberosity to posterior surface of medial condyle of tibia
Where does the semitendinosus attach to? Ischial tuberosity to anterior medial surface of medial condyle of tibia (pes anserine)
Where does the long head of the bicep femoris attach to? Ischial tuberosity to lateral aspect of head of the fibula
Where does the short head of the bicep femoris attach to? lateral lip of linea aspera to lateral aspect of head of fibula
Where does the Sartorius attach to? ASIS to anterior medial surface of medial condyle of tibia (pes anserine)
What action does the sartorius do? hip flexion, abduction, lateral rotation, and knee flexion (figure four)
What nerve is the sartorius attached to? femoral
Where does the Graciis attach to? symphysis and inferior ramus of pubis to anterior medial condyle of tibia (pes anserine)
What action does the Gracilis do? hip adduction and knee flexion
What nerve attaches to the Gracilis? Obturator nerve
