| Evaluating | Comparing observations and data to reach a conclusion |
| Information | Explaining or interpreting objections |
| Investigating | Studying or researching a subject to discover facts or to reveal new information |
| Models | Complex objects miniature recreation |
| Observing | Use one or more of your senses to gather information |
| Ethics | Reflect to rules and are for knowing right from wrong |
| Skeptical | Having doubts about things based on past experiences and evidence |
| Bias | Likes or dislikes of people, ideas, or things. |
| Scientific inquiry | Scientists contribute to scientific knowledge by conducting investigations, researching, collecting data and drawing conclusions |
| Scientific law | Describes, but does not explain, and observed pattern in nature |
| Scientific theory | A well tested explanation for a wide range of observations or experimental results. It can change if new evidence |
| Mean | Average of your data add the data and divide by the number of numbers in the set |
| Median | Middle number when put in numerical order |
| Mode | The data that shows up the most often |
| Range | Different between the largest and smallest data -subtract the smallest form the largest |
| Constraints | Limitations: Money and time |
| Criteria | Criteria are the factors that must be met or accomplished by the solution in order to be successful |
| Prototype | A working model of the solution |
| Graphs | Line:data over time Bar:comparing |
| Qualitative | Describing things with a number |
| Quantitative | Describing things by their characters |
| Independent variables | Factor that you change in an experiment |
| Dependent variables | Factors that is measured |
