TermDefinition
Habitable Having the conditions necessary to support life, like earth.
Rocky planet Any planet with solid surface, such as earth and Mars.
Land form A feature that forms on the surface of a planet such as a mountain, channel, or sand dunes
Channel Along narrow groove that forms where water, lava or other liquid flows
Geologic Process An event series of events that causes change in the geosphere such as flowing water, or flowing lava.
Model an object, diagram, or computer program that helps us understand something by making it simpler or easier to see
Claim is a statement that answers a question about an observation or a scientific problem. its a conclusion based on evidence and reasoning.
Evidence is the data observations you collect to support a claim is the information that helps answer a scientific question.
reasoning is the explanation that connects your evidence to your claim. its the why or how your evidence proves your claim.
System A set of interacting parts forming a complete whole.
