| Habitable | Having the conditions necessary to support life, like earth. |
| Rocky planet | Any planet with solid surface, such as earth and Mars. |
| Land form | A feature that forms on the surface of a planet such as a mountain, channel, or sand dunes |
| Channel | Along narrow groove that forms where water, lava or other liquid flows |
| Geologic Process | An event series of events that causes change in the geosphere such as flowing water, or flowing lava. |
| Model | an object, diagram, or computer program that helps us understand something by making it simpler or easier to see |
| Claim | is a statement that answers a question about an observation or a scientific problem. its a conclusion based on evidence and reasoning. |
| Evidence | is the data observations you collect to support a claim is the information that helps answer a scientific question. |
| reasoning | is the explanation that connects your evidence to your claim. its the why or how your evidence proves your claim. |
| System | A set of interacting parts forming a complete whole. |
