TermDefinition
constant proportionalily a constant ratio or of two variable quantities. it is also called the constant of variation.
unit rate A rate in which the first quantity is compared to 1 unit of the second quantity.
nonportional the relationship between two ratios with a rate or ratio that is not constant .
proportional The relationship between two ratios with a constant rate or ratio.
proportional relationship exists between two variables when their ratio is always constant, meaning one variable is always a specific multiple of the other.
proportion An equation stating that two ratios or rates are equivalent.
