| Qualitative Data | Descriptive data that cannot be easily measured. |
| Quantitative Data | Numerical data that can be measured. |
| Graph | A visual representation of data. |
| Model | A representation of a system or process. |
| Variable | A factor that can change in an experiment. |
| Observation | The act of gathering information through the senses. |
| Inference | A conclusion reached based on evidence and reasoning. |
| Theory | A well-supported explanation for a natural phenomenon. |
| Law | A scientific rule that describes a pattern in nature. |
| Mean | The average of a set of numbers |
| Median | The middle value in a set of numbers. |
| Mode | The most frequent value in a set of numbers. |
| Range | The difference between the highest and lowest values in a set of data. |
| Correlation | A relationship between two variables. |
| Causation | A cause-and-effect relationship between two variables. |
| Scientific Communication | The process of sharing scientific information. |
| Peer Review | The evaluation of scientific work by other scientists. |
| Citation | A reference to a source of information. |
