| Plane | Flat surface with no thickness, extends forever must be defined by 3 noncollinear points, named with 3 noncollinear points or a capital script |
| Segment | Part of a line consisting of two end points, named with the 2 end points |
| Ray | Part of a line that starts at an endpoint and extends forever in one direction, named with the end point and any other point on the ray |
| Opposite Rays | 2 rays with a common end point, they form a line, named with the 2 rays |
| Collinear | Points on the same line |
| Non-Collinear | Not on the same line |
| Coplanar | Points on the same plane |
| Non-Coplanar | Points not on the same plane |
| Intersection of 2 lines | A point |
| Intersection of a line and a plane | A point |
| Intersection of 2 planes | A line |
| Distance | Length between 2 points, Distance is always positive |
| Congruent Segments | Equal lengths (measure) |
| Segment Addition Postulate | If R is between P and Q, then PR+RQ=PQ |
| Midpoint | A point that divides a segment into 2 congruent segments |
| Segment Bisector | Any line segment or ray that intersects a segment at its midpoint |
| Bisected Segment | Any segment that is divided into 2 equal parts |
