Exacerbation the process of making a problem, bad situation, or negative feeling worse
Auscultation the action of listening to sounds from the heart, lungs, or other organs, typically with a stethoscope, as a part of medical diagnosis
Idiopathic a disease of unknown cause
Sequela a condition which is the consequence of a previous disease or injury
HPI History of present illness (the story of the symptoms)
PERRLA P: pupils E: equal: pupils are the same size R: round: pupils are perfectly circular R: reactive: become smaller when exposed to light L: the pupils react to light A: accommodation: pupils constrict when focusing on a near object
QHS QHS is a medical abbreviation derived from the Latin phrase quaque hora somni, which means every night at bedtime. It is frequently used on prescription labels and in medical records to specify the timing of medication
NPO "nil per os," which is a Latin phrase meaning "nothing by mouth." It is a medical abbreviation used to indicate that a patient should not consume any food, drinks, or medications orally
SC Subcutaneous, it refers to the administration of a medication or injection under the skin, into the fatty tissue layer known as the subcutaneous tissue
Ipsilateral belonging to or occurring on the same side of the body
