Persistent Adj. Continuing; Lasting; Especially in the face of difficulty Example: After studying for 2 hours, he was still persistent to know everything.
Notable Adj, Worth noticing; Important Example: His position in the School Board was notable.
Inspire V. Stimulate to some creative or effective effort Example: His love for drawing inspired him to become an artist.
Attention N. To take notice of something or someone Example: The Eiffel Tower has a lot of attention.
Acknowledge V. Admit the truth of; Recognize the importance of Example: He acknowledged the fact that his friend was better than him at basketball.
Maturity N. Demonstrating being fully grown Example: Brian showed great maturity compared to last year.
Wearily Adv. In a tired way Example: He wearily got out of his bed to shower.

Rite of passage N. A ceremony or event marking an important stage in someone's life Example: His graduation was an important rite of passage.
Ritual N. A ceremony or custom Example: His ritual before the game was to take 7 laps around the track.
Coming of age story/Bildungsroman N. A genre of literature that focuses on a character's growth from childhood to adulthood. Example: He read a book that was classified as a bildungsroman.
Idiom N. A phrase not to be taken literally that is usually only meaningful in one language Example: He used an idiom in the phrase that he said,
Immense Adj. Very Large; Huge Example: His feelings for playing baseball were immense.
Majestic Adj. Very Grand; King-like Example: The king is very majestic.
Numerous Adj. Very many; Existing in large numbers Example: He had numerous fish in his home.
Patronized V. Treated someone as inferior Example: He was trying not to be patronized by his peers.
Obligations N. Debts to someone due to past laws/promises Example: He had many obligations due to his promises.
Psychological Adj. Mental; Promises of the mind Example: I realized that my pain was psychological, and I didn't actually feel anything.
