| grim | something unpleasant, depressing, or serious |
| mill | a building or a machine that grinds or crushes grain into flour or powder |
| hint | a small piece of information that helps you guess something or figure something out |
| plot | the order of events that happen in a story |
| dock | a platform next to water where boats can be tied up safely |
| blot | a stain or a spot of something like ink or paint |
| odd | something different, unusual, or strange |
| sum | the result of adding two or more numbers together |
| plum | a sweet, juicy fruit that grows on trees. It has a smooth skin, which can be red, purple, or yellow. |
