| Soluble with no exceptions | Compounds containing: all alkali metal cations, NH4+, NO3-, C2H3O2- or CH3OO-, CIO3-, CIO4- | NONE -- ALWAYS SOLUBLE |
| Soluble | Compounds containing: halide Ions | INSOLUBLE if in a compound with silver, mercury (I), or lead (II) (Ag+, Hg2+2, Pb2+) |
| Soluble | Compounds containing: SO4-2 (Sulfate) | INSOLUBLE if in a compound with: Ag+, Hg2+2, Pb2+, Ca2+, Sr2+, Ba2+ |
| Insoluble | Compounds containing: OH- or S2- | SOLUBLE if in a compound with alkali metal cations or NH4+ or Ca2+, Sr2+, and Ba2+ |
