Big Bang Theory The most widely accepted explanation for the origin of the universe. According to this theory, the universe began as an infinitely small, hot, and dense point, which rapidly expanded and continued to stretch over 13.7 billion years

Red Shift an increase in the wavelength, and corresponding decrease in the frequency and photon energy, of electromagnetic radiation (such as light)
Remnants a usually small part, member, or trace remaining
Microwave Background Radiation the residual thermal radiation from the Big Bang, the event that marks the beginning of the universe approximately 13.8 billion years ago. It is the oldest observable light. It serves as a snapshot of the universe when it was just 380,000 years old.
