| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| If given force in terms of I and J | use that for every part, e.g. equation of motion still in terms of i. If asked for a vector, give in terms of I and J. |
| Particle = | no size or shape taken into account. |
| For working out critical value: | show P(X<) etc before critical value and at it |
| ‘Parameter’ | probability [exactly copy Q] of selecting at random. (proportion was accepted but not ideal, and definitely not percentage, even if given as that) |
| ‘Chance to be rejected when it should be accepted’ | even if H0 correct there’s a chance it falls in the critical value |
| To say that data is too high to be accurately shown | use the term outlier |
| For saying why estimate based on other data bad | say extrapolation |
| Hypothesis test conclusions | no definite statements |
| Why opportunity sampling isn’t a simple random sample | ‘not every sample has an equal chance of being selected’ |
| For discriminant of dy/dx | still say the -25 < 0. Then say dy/dx = 0 has no solutions |
| Explain | means explain why as well |
| ‘Set of possible prices’ | means to exclude sections where the model isn’t suitable (prices where negative cakes supplied) |
| ‘Describe shape of distribution’ | “negative skew” allowed |
| ‘Do not intersect’ | discriminant, then say ‘so no real roots, so no point of intersection’ |
| Answer of show questions | NOT as working - keep the variable as a variable and it'll all work out fine |
| How is (x – 3)^2 mapped to (x + 1)^2 | translation because x not being multiplied |
| When having adjusted range to 0 < 1.5x < 540 and question asks for 0 < x < 360 | need to convert back to fit the range |
| Labelling forces | state values of the forces and label ALL instructed objects |
| Whenever doing F = ma | say N2L |
| Come on add to both sides not subtract | Basic maths here Daniel come on |
| Random samples give different results is there evidence they’re flawed? | No evidence as different random samples may lead to different results |
| On expression for acceleration after integration | NEEDS A UNIT |
| More s.f in working | |
| Make sure to look for lost solutions where sin = 0 | |
| 3 s.f. in maths | |
| Probability spaces | The chance of getting both 3 and 3 doesnt happen twice, unlike e.g. 3 and 2. Or just draw the probability space Daniel: its much safer |
