Nationalism a strong sense of loyalty and devotion to one's nation, often prioritizing national interests and unity
Voice in government the ability to express your opinions and ideas to government officials and participate in decision-making processes
Industrialization the shift from an economy primarily based on agriculture to one based on manufacturing and industry
Traditional culture vs. modernization traditional culture emphasizes long-standing customs, values, and beliefs passed down through generations, while modern culture is characterized by innovation, change, and a focus on the present
Imperialism when one country expands its power and control over another country, often through colonization or economic dominance, to gain resources, trade, or influence
Conflict a disagreement or struggle between opposing forces
Power the ability to do something, act, or influence others
Trade the act of buying and selling goods or services, typically in exchange for money
