What do you say at control commission before inspection? "Half boat down to waists"
What part of the boat should go down to waists? The side away from the water
What is checked by officials at control commission? Heel ties and bowball
What do you say after the officials give the okay? "Back up to shoulders"
What is the full sequence to launch the boat? "Back up to shoulders" → "Walk it down" → "Up and over heads, ready, up" → "Down and in"
What should you watch out for when launching? Pilings

What’s the “Focus 10” sequence? "ONE - match up, TWO - sit up, THREE - clean blades, FOUR - eyes up..." etc.
What’s the focus for the third 500 meters? "Stay tall", "Recommit", "Push off the other boats"
What do you say at 1500 meters? "Last 500 meters!", "Lock in together", "Get ready to build for that sprint"
What do you say just BEFORE the red buoys? "Ready to add pressure in two – there’s one — there’s two!"
What do you say AT the red buoys? "Ten to build into that Sprint!"
What do you say after 10 sprint strokes? "Here’s our sprint! Everything you have now, big press"
What should you focus on during the sprint? Encourage loudly, steer straight, and tell boat positions ONCE
What do you say at the finish line? "In two weigh enough – one — two"
What do you say after all boats finish? "Good race all crews"
What flag do you wait for after the race? White flag from officials
What do you do once the white flag is shown? Start going back to the beach
What should you NOT do after the race if another race is coming? Do not cross the finish line viewing area
How should the boat cross viewing line after the race? All four rowers rowing, sitting up, and looking for traffic
Where do you go after crossing viewing line? Come into the beach for normal recovery
When are you officially done with the race? When boat is in slings and a coach dismisses you
What do you yell if someone is in the way? "HEADS UP BOAT"
What should you be ready to yell if people don’t move fast enough? "WEIGH ENOUGH"
What is your number one priority on race day? Safety of the boat and people
