What was a headright? (Bacons Rebellion) Any colonist can pay their own passage to the Americas and receive 50 Acres of land.
How did wealthy planters build almost instant plantations? (Bacons Rebellion) They would pay for indentured servants and steal their head rights.
Why was Nathaniel Bacon upset with Governor William Berkley? Disagreed over the treatment of Native Americans. Bacon wanted to move west to take more land while Berkley did not since he made a deal with them.
What was the true unfortunate outcome of the Bacon rebellion? Indurtured servants joined, conducting their own raids (Killing Natives), Burning Jamestown.
How do you think the Bacon rebellion affected future relations between Native Americans and English Colonists? Made aggressive colonial policy towards Native Americans, leading to conflicts and the expansion of English settlements into Native American territories.
What caused the King Philip's War? British conflicts over the land of Indians and resources. (British wants their Land)
Who is Massasoit? (King Philips War) Leader of the Wampanoag Indians that maintained peace with New Englanders.
Massasoit's Son is? Metacom
What did the colonist do to Massasiot's group? Colonists coming onto the land, and hanged 3 Wampanoag Indians in Plymouth
Affects of the King Philips War? Metacome was captured and killed, Colonist destroyed native villages and would kill them or sell them off in the West indies
Significance of the King Philips War? Made Natives look like savages, colonist kept on expanding to their Land, and Natives were scared to do anything back.
