Contributory and comparative negligence Plaintiff is determined to be more than 50% responsible for his own injury. They may receive only a percentage of damage, or none at all
Gross negligence Lack of concern for the safety of others Serious form of negligence that goes a step up further than simple careless action
Remedies Monetary compensation or damages are awarded
Subpoenas Court orders mandating that an individual show up at a specific time and date and with a specific reason to testify
Beneficence Legal obligation for professionals to act in the best interest of Their clients or patients.

Philippines dental act of 2007 Sets the rules for dental practice, including licensing and penalties for illegal practice
Civil law Deals with private dispute - focused on compensating victims
Battery The actual offensive touch or use of force in a person without consent
Assault A threat to attempt to touch or inflict verbal or physical attack on a person
Common law Decisions made by judges in court cases, based on legal precedent
