Scientific Method a method in which a problem is identified, relevant data are gathered, a hypothesis is formulated from these data, and the hypothesis is tested.
Hypothesis The theory or guess about the outcome of an experiment.
Independant variable The variable in an experiment that does change.
Dependant variable The variable in an experiment that does not change.
Experimental control Always the same.
Density state or quality of being dense
Percent error (measured value-accepted value/accepted value)100
Significant figures has to do with the accuracy of the number.
