lines, segments, rays, angles
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Line | Goes on and on. Has an arrowhead on each end. |
| Segment | Part of a line. Dot or "endpoint" on each end. |
| Ray | "Half line" Begins at a point and continues without end. Has an arrowhead at one end and a dot at the other end. |
| Parallel | Going in the same direction and stay the same distance apart. |
| Intersect | When lines or segments cross. |
| Perpendicular | Intersecting lines or segments that form "square corners' (right angles) |
| Vertex | The point of an angle where the two sides meet. |
| Right Angle | 90 degree angle formed by perpendicular lines. |
| Acute angle | Angle less than 90 degrees. Smaller than a right angle. |
| Obtuse angle | Angle more than 90 degrees. Larger than a right angle. |
