| Discrimination | to treat someone unfairly because of their skin color |
| Race | a way of grouping people based on their skin color |
| Segregation | to separate people based on skin color |
| Boycott | a form of protest where a group of people refuse to buy or use a certain product or go to a certain place |
| Social Issue | problems among people |
| Lynching | when a group of white people violently attacks a Black person |
| Activist | a person who openly fights for a cause |
| Demonstration | a gathering of people in support of a cause or problem |
| Progress | forward movement towards the solution of a problem |
| Legacy | something passed down from one generation to next/what someone is remembered for |
