| Granulocytes | Secretory granules in the cytoplasm |
| Neutropils | First responder to inflammation and tissue damage |
| Eosinophils | Break down histamines associated wither allergic reactions and parasitic infections. |
| Basophils | Produced in bone marrow |
| Agranulocytes | WBC recognized for the absence of granules in their cytoplasm |
| Lymphocytes | Produce antibodies, destroy infected cells, and regulate the immune response. |
| Monocytes | Destroys germs and bacteria, and alerts other blood cells to help prevent infection. |
| Thrombocytes | Stop bleeding by forming clots and wound healing. |
