| Is 25 a square number? Why/Why not? | Yes. 5 times itself (5 squared) is 25. |
| Give 3 multiples of 20 | 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120.... any number in the 20 times table |
| What is the 2nd cube number? | 8. 2 x 2 x 2 (2 cubed) |
| Is 29 odd or even? Why? | 29 is odd. It is not in the 2 x table. |
| Here is a sequence: 4, 10, 16, 22, 28,... Will 75 be in this sequence? Explain. | No. The sequence has only even numbers. 75 is an odd number. |
| What is the square root of 36? | 6. Because 6 squared (6 x 6) is 36 |
| Is 15 a factor of 5? | No. 15 does not go into 5. 15 is a multiple of 5. 5 is a factor of 15. |
| What is the sum of 5 and 7? | 12. Sum means add. |
| What is the product of 5 and 7? | 35. Product means times |
| What is the difference of 5 and 7? | 2. Difference means takeaway |
| Find 3 multiples of 9. | 9, 18, 27, 36, .... Any number in the 9 times table. |
| Find 2 even factors of 30 | 2, 6, 10, and 30 are all possible answers. They are in the 2 x table (even) and go into 30 (factors) |
| Is 27 a cube number? | Yes. 3 cubed (3 x 3 x 3) is 27. |
| Is 100 a square number? | Yes. 10 squared (10 x 10) is 100. |
| What's the cube root of 64? | 4 4 cubed (4 x 4 x 4) is 64 |
