Learn your types of number e.g factor, odd, cube

What are the first 5 prime numbers? 2, 3, 5, 7, 11
Is 25 a square number? Why/Why not? Yes. 5 times itself (5 squared) is 25.
Give 3 multiples of 20 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120.... any number in the 20 times table
What is the 2nd cube number? 8. 2 x 2 x 2 (2 cubed)
Is 29 odd or even? Why? 29 is odd. It is not in the 2 x table.
Here is a sequence: 4, 10, 16, 22, 28,... Will 75 be in this sequence? Explain. No. The sequence has only even numbers. 75 is an odd number.
What is the square root of 36? 6. Because 6 squared (6 x 6) is 36
Is 15 a factor of 5? No. 15 does not go into 5. 15 is a multiple of 5. 5 is a factor of 15.
What is the sum of 5 and 7? 12. Sum means add.
What is the product of 5 and 7? 35. Product means times
What is the difference of 5 and 7? 2. Difference means takeaway
Find 3 multiples of 9. 9, 18, 27, 36, .... Any number in the 9 times table.
Find 2 even factors of 30 2, 6, 10, and 30 are all possible answers. They are in the 2 x table (even) and go into 30 (factors)
Is 27 a cube number? Yes. 3 cubed (3 x 3 x 3) is 27.
Is 100 a square number? Yes. 10 squared (10 x 10) is 100.
What's the cube root of 64? 4 4 cubed (4 x 4 x 4) is 64
What's the square root of 81 9. 9 x 9 (9 squared) is 81
What is 2 squared? 4 2 x 2
What is 7 squared? 49 7 x 7
What is the 5th multiple of 4? 20. 4 x 5
What is 2 cubed? 8 2 x 2 x 2
What is 5 cubed? 125 5 x 5 x 5
What is 1 cubed? 1 1 x 1 x 1
What is 4 squared? 16 4 x 4
Is 32 a prime number? No. 32 has more than 2 factors (e.g. 1 x 32, but also 8 x 4 and 16 x 2)
Here is a sequence: 5, 15, 25, 35, Will 94 be in this sequence? Explain. No. 94 is not a multiple of 5.
Is 17 a prime number? Yes. 17 only has 2 factors (itself and 1)
Is 19 a prime number? Yes. 19 only has 2 factors (itself and 1)
Is 33 a prime number? No. 33 has more than 2 factors (e.g. 1 x 33, but also 3 x 11)
Is 95 an even number? No. 95 is not in the 2 x table
Is 3 a factor of 60? Yes. 3 x 20 = 60
Is 124 a multiple of 5? No. It is not in the 5 times table. All multiples of 5 end in a 5 or 0.
