Pronoun Takes the place of a noun
Personal Pronoun Refers to a person or a thing
Subject Pronoun A personal pronoun that is the subject of a sentence.
Object Pronoun A personal pronoun that is the direct or indirect object of a verb.
Antecedent The word or group of words that a pronoun refers to. The pronoun must agree with its antecedent in number and gender.
Possessive Take the place of a person or thing that owns or possesses something.
Indefinite Pronouns Refers to a person, place or thing in a more general way than a personal pronoun.
Reflexive Pronouns Refers to a noun or another pronoun and indicates that the same person or thing is involved.
Intensive Pronouns Adds emphasis to a noun or pronoun that has already been named.
Interrogative Pronouns Pronouns that introduce an interrogative sentence.
Demonstrative Pronouns A pronoun that points out something.
Subject Pronouns I, you, he, she, it, we, you and they
Object Pronouns me, you, him, her, it, us, you, them
Possessive Pronouns - Used before nouns singular my, your, her, his, its
Possessive Pronouns - Used before nouns plural our, your, their
Possessive Pronouns - Used alone mine, yours, hers, his, its, ours, yours, theirs
Indefinite Pronouns - Singular another, anybody, anyone, anything, each, either, everybody, everyone, everything, much, neither, nobody, on one, nothing, one, somebody, someone, something
Indefinite Pronouns - Plural both, few, many, others, several
Reflexive Pronouns - Singular myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself
Reflexive Pronouns - Plural ourselves, yourselves, themselves
Intensive Pronouns you yourself, me myself
