This receives the signal from the ECU and acts independently to control the brake pressure. Depending on the condition, this may prevent the pressure increasing, or reduce it to the corresponding wheel. Modulator
These continually measure the wheel speed and, in the case of an electronic system, send this information to the ABS ECU. These use an electromagnetic sensor operating on a disc Wheel speed sensors
The teeth act as a signal generator and so sense the speed of the wheel. When the wheel slows, this signals a potential wheel lock. Reluctor/Tone wheel
