| Preamble | An introductory statement or preface, especially one that outlines the purpose of a document or speech. |
| Presage | A sign or warning that something (typically bad) will happen; an omen, (verb)- to predict or foreshadow a future event |
| Prescient | Having or showing knowledge of events before they happen; foresighted |
| Pretentious | Attempting to impress by affecting greater importance, talent, or culture than is actually possessed; ostentatious. |
| Pretense | A false appearance or claim intended to deceive; an act of pretending or making a show of something |
| Predilection | A preference or special liking for something ; tendency to favor. |
| Predecessor | A person who held a job, position, or title before someone else. |
| Precursor | A person or thing that comes before another of the same kind, often indicating or influencing what follows. |
| Pretext | A false reason or exuse given to justify an action, masking the true purpose |
| Precocious | Showing advanced development or maturity, especially at an unusually early age |
| Preclude | To prevent something from happening; to make impossible in advance |
| Tantalize | To torment or tease someone with the promise of something desirable but keeping it out of reach |
| Laconic | Using very few words; concise, often to the point of seeming terse. |
| Draconian | Excessively harsh or severe, particularly in reference to laws or rules. |
| Nemesis | A formidable and usually victorious opponent or rival; a source of downfall or retribution. |
| Platonic | Describing a close relationship that is not romantic or sexual in nature. |
