QuestionAnswer
Title tells what the text is about
Table of Contents page has the names of chapters and the pages where the chapters can be found.
Index located in the back of the book. It tells readers the page that certain topics are located
Glossary provides the definition of some of the imporatnt words found in a text
Heading Divides the text into large sections. It will give clues to what the section of text is about
Bold Print Important words in a text that are darkened to stand out from the rest of the text
Diagram A drawing that shows the parts of something
Caption The writing under a photograph, illustration,or image that tells what is being shown
Illustration Shows what something looks like, but it is drawn by an artist
Photograph Pictures taken with a camera to show what something looks like
Labels Names parts of something in an image, illustration, or photograph
