| acute angle | an angle less than 90 degrees |
| right angle | an angle that is exactly 90 degrees |
| obtuse angle | an angle larger than 90 degrees |
| point | an exact location |
| ray | a line with a start point but no end point |
| line segment | part of a line with two endpoints |
| line | a one dimensional figure that continues straight in both directions with no end |
| parallel lines | two lines that never touch |
| perpendicular lines | lines that intersect and form 90 degree angles at the intersection |
| angle | the space between two rays that is formed from intersection lines, line segments, or planes |
| degree | unit of measurement used to describe the size of an angle |
| protractor | an instrument used to draw or measure angles |
| adjacent | next to something else |
| complementary angles | two angles that can be combined to equal 90 degrees |
| supplementary angles | two angles that can be combined to equal 180 degrees |
